Anglican Watch receives threats, anti-Semitic hate believed to come from St Thomas Fifth Avenue director of security Robbie Giannetta

Anglican Watch recently received a threatening email communication that included various anti-Semitic components, posted below. A review of forensic evidence strongly suggests that Robbie Gianetta, a retired NYPD police officer who serves as head of security for St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, was the sender. We believe Gianetta sent the message in response to our adverse coverage of security issues at the church.

To be clear, if this is the best the sender can manage, he probably should get a prescription for Viagra.

The threat tries to intimidate us by referencing the website’s DNS settings, etc. Thus, the sender is someone with some technical knowledge, but not a lot.

Additionally, the notion that anyone with Anglican Watch is going to undercut our credibility by making anti-Semitic comments is laughably stupid.

Anglican Watch’s research indicates that Gianetta already has issues of questionable integrity, including:

• As previously posted, his deployment of convicted felon Tristan Rodas as a security guard at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue via his security company, Blue Perimeter. Rodas’s convictions include allegations that he sold heroin to minors, used a minor to facilitate the commission of a crime, and more.
• Sources close to the matter tell us that Gianetta, who owns Blue Perimeter Security, may be facing scrutiny by the IRS and state regulators over issues such as misclassifying employees for tax purposes and violating state security firm requirements.

Gianetta also serves as a New York City auxiliary police officer.

In response, Anglican Watch has forwarded the threatening email and other forensic data to local law enforcement in Manhattan and other relevant localities.

Additionally, we have reported the matter to NYPD internal affairs, federal law enforcement (since the threats were made in interstate commerce), and the Episcopal Diocese of New York. We have also filed a complaint with the Anti-Defamation League and will take additional steps next week to address the matter.

The moral of the story is that St. Thomas Fifth Avenue is a seriously corrupt organization.
