Following the recent arrest of Angie Solomon over allegations that she attempted to hire a hitman to kill her ex, former WSMV anchor Aaron Solomon, it hasn’t been easy to cover her story. That’s due in large measure to the criminal court’s gag order and other pretrial conditions that it has imposed on Angie.
That said, we have some updated information that we’d like to share.
The terms of Angie’s pre-trial release are problematic
We’re typically reluctant to question the decisions of a trial judge, especially when we don’t have access to the information that they have
That said, the court’s pretrial release conditions are creating severe hardships for Angie, including:
- Impacting her ability to prepare a criminal defense.
- Limiting her access to needed health care.
- Risking her personal safety in the event that Aaron or one of his minions shows up at her home.
- Depriving her of social contact that is necessary for emotional health and well-being.
Even worse, the onerous terms and conditions the court has imposed, which include wearing an ankle monitor and having no electronic contact with the outside world, may prejudice her ability to get a fair trial.
Specifically, even people accused of murder are only rarely subject to these sorts of restrictions. Thus, a jury that learns of these matters may conclude that the court is signaling to them about the outcome it wants to see.
Compounding these issues is the fact that these restrictions accomplish nothing. After all, it’s not like people can call directory assistance, get the number for 1-800-HITMANNOW, and hire an assassin.

Indeed, real hitmen are rare and hard to come by, and typically are connected to organized crime.
So, why the restrictions?
As to the possibility that someone might hire a thug or other non-professional to off Aaron, there are plenty of ways to do that that don’t necessitate access to a phone or the Internet.
And to be brutally candid, given what we know of Aaron’s behavior towards his wife and children, we bet that more than one person has had at least fleeting thoughts about how nice it would be to see Aaron shuffle off this mortal coil.
In other words, going after Angie does nothing to improve the situation, either for Angie, her daughter Gracie, Grant, or even Aaron himself.
Moreover, if the real purpose of the courts is to rehabilitate people, it’s hard for that to happen when a court imposes senseless restrictions on a defendant.
We still need answers
We should also not forget that we still don’t have meaningful answers to what happened to Grant. Specifically, the purported eyewitnesses to Grant’s death have recounted facially inaccurate details, including the claim that Grant was “twisted like a pretzel” underneath his pickup truck.
He was not.
Relatedly, we find Gracie’s allegations of sexual abuse by her father to be credible.
Nor has anyone taken the guardian ad litem report for Grant and Gracie seriously. That report raised concerns that Aaron is gaming the system, yet it was ignored then and is being ignored now.
Thus, the terms and conditions of Angie’s pretrial release deprive both children of a much-needed advocate.
And as Gracie prepares to go off to college, let’s not forget: There is nothing like a mother’s love for her children as they face the challenges of college and being a young adult. That’s especially true for someone like Gracie, who has experienced so much trauma in her life.
More questionable behavior by Aaron
Meanwhile, Aaron’s malevolence towards Angie and misuse of the courts continue unabated.
Shortly before her arrest, Angie had petitioned the courts for an order that Aaron pay child support. Our understanding is that he is under a court order to do so, but has never actually paid anything. Moreover, Aaron appears to hold substantial resources, including a trust fund from a deceased relative.
Meanwhile, Angie has nothing. Zero, Zip. Nada.
But instead of asking “how can I help you and Gracie?”, Aaron allegedly hired an attorney, who obtained access to Angie’s financial information. Now, Aaron appears to want a cut of the crowd-sourced money raised to investigate Grant’s death and Gracie’s allegations of sexual assault.
Does it get any lower?
To be clear: Aaron’s efforts to play hardball may produce temporary results. But any loving parent can look at Aaron’s behavior and conclude that he is anything but compassionate and caring. Indeed, his behavior seems carefully calculated to cause trauma to both Angie and Gracie — at a time when Angie is the custodial parent.
Meanwhile, word on the street is that Aaron is again gearing up to sue advocates for Grant, Gracie, and Angie for defamation.
To that, we have three responses:
- Clearly, Aaron didn’t learn anything from getting tossed out of court on his ear the first time.
- How does this solve anything? Indeed, there is a need for more public scrutiny of his behavior, not less. Again, we still need answers about Grant and Gracie, and we’re not going away, regardless.
- Bring it on, Aaron. In order to win a defamation case, Aaron would have to prove that the allegations about his behavior are not true. We’re confident that there is more than enough misconduct on Aaron’s part that any lawsuit would result in evidence that he is an abusive POS. And let’s not forget: This is a man who stood over his son’s coffin at Grace Chapel and lied about how a Good Samaritan found Grant’s phone, recharged it, and as a result found Jesus. Not only is that complete BS, but it takes a special kind of person to tell these sorts of lies at his son’s funeral.
Nor should anyone forget that, when Aaron’s family members (the Aaronistas) showed up on this site to troll us, we invited them to have Aaron contact us so he could interview and set the record straight.
We know how that turned out.
The bottom line is that we remain deeply concerned about this situation. While we haven’t had much to report over the past few months, we are continuing to monitor events as they unfold.
We continue to demand answers about the death of Grant Solomon, the allegations from Gracie Solomon that Aaron sexually assaulted her, and that Aaron has abused his wife and kids.
And by the way, where is the criminal investigation into the allegations that Aaron tried to kill Angie?
