Briana Ramirez, a friend of St. Thomas security guard and convicted felon Tristan Rodas, defends him on the basis that he didn’t sell heroin to children. Just other high schoolers.

Over the past several days, Anglican Watch has received a series of threatening messages from Briana Ramirez, a friend of convicted drug dealer and St. Thomas security guard Tristan Rodas. Tellingly, her messages attempt to defend Rodas on the basis that he didn’t sell heroin to children, just other high schoolers.

Ramirez, a New Jersey state employee believed to be living with Rodas, is blocked from this site.

The content of her messages includes an assortment of invective, ad hominem attacks, and defamatory statements about a victim of abuse at St. Thomas Church.

Among Ramirez’s comments:

  • No one likes us. Yes, we cry ourselves to sleep over this claim, especially when Ramirez references the folks at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue and her convicted felon drug dealer buddy Rodas.
  • Our posts are written poorly.
  • Our posts about Rodas are only partially true.
  • Our posts are defamatory.
  • Law enforcement isn’t really investigating allegations that Rodas is going around making death threats.
  • No one visits this site.
  • But now, thanks to the fact that we posted to our audience of none, Rodas has been fired and can’t support his family.

Ramirez’s comments are particularly troubling due to the fact she recently began a job with the New Jersey Office of Family Support Services. The latter provides support services to families at risk, with goals that include the prevention drug abuse.

That begs the questions:

  • Is Ramirez qualified for this position when her live-in has been convicted of felony drug trafficking and using a minor in the commission of a crime?
  • How do New Jersey officials feel about Ramirez’s threats and other unprofessional conduct?

We can assure all involved that law enforcement has been notified of Rodas’ alleged threats, as well as Ramirez’s objectionable behavior, which increasingly appears to involve stalking.

Additionally, there are several issues we plan to forward to law enforcement on Monday.

Moreover, only one person is responsible for Rodas’ drug-related issues, and that is Rodas.

If Ramirez’s threats and harassment continue, we will pursue criminal charges against her as well as a restraining order. If those become necessary, we will forward documentation to her workplace.

Bottom line: Ramirez’s behavior underscores the importance of background checks for all church employees.

  1. Briana appears to have serious issues, including a lack of judgment. What kind of parent brings children up around a convicted heroin dealer?
