True crime enthusiasts, check it out: Aaron Solomon’s defamation lawsuit

Aaron Solomon, alleged murderer

Many following the efforts to find justice for Grant Solomon will have heard about Aaron Solomon’s abortive efforts to sue his former wife, Dr. Angies Huffines Solomon, and 28 other persons for defamation.

Although the case was thrown out in federal court, these pleadings have more significance: they speak volumes about Aaron Solomon. And so, we are publishing below them in their entirety.

In the coming days, we’ll have additional analysis of these pleadings, but for now, some key points:

  • Assuming arguendo that Aaron’s claims that Angie is mentally ill are accurate, why would he sue her? Wouldn’t a loving husband, which Aaron claims to be, ignore her purported defamation?
  • At one point in the pleadings, Aaron states that he is aware of the allegations that he has sexually abused his daughter Gracie. So, how does he address this? Aaron says he makes sure that he keeps a pillow between them when she sits on his lap.
  • Even more telling, when they share a hotel room, Aaron acknowledges that he slept in bed with his daughter but kept pillows between them.
  • That begs the question: If Aaron Solomon had half the common sense God gave a goat, why would he even be in the same hotel room as his daughter? If he has the money to travel out of state, surely he can come up with the funds to get another hotel room. And if he’s so strapped for cash that he can’t take even this essential measure to protect all involved, he should keep his sorry backside in Tennessee.
  • Aaron goes to great lengths in his pleadings to claim that Angie’s statements and testimony have shifted over time, even as he denies killing his son, Grant. Yet his statements about Grant’s purported accident are facially implausible, and he contradicts himself repeatedly. So, Aaron’s integrity is questionable, and his pleadings read like a bad case of projection of his own attributes. Many following the efforts to find justice for Grant Solomon will have heard about Aaron Solomon’s abortive efforts to sue his former wife, Dr. Angies Huffines Solomon, and 28 other persons for defamation.Although the case was thrown out in federal court, these pleadings have more significance: they speak volumes about Aaron Solomon.
