St. Andrew’s on Martha’s Vineyard welcomes immigrants, needs cash

Immigrants arrive at St. Andrews

U.S. national media are reporting that conservative Florida governor Ron DeSantis flew two planeloads of Venezuelan immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard in a publicity stunt. The move, which was not announced ahead of time, resulted in a scramble to care for these individuals. Among those helping are St. Andrew’s Episcopal, which can be found online at http://standrewsmv.org/.

The church is seeking funds to help care for the immigrants until a more permanent way to welcome these persons can be found.

Per the church’s website:

To assist with supplies, clothes, food and water, toiletries, transportation, translation, etc., please contact the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office at emd@dcsoma.org

Until a separate account is set up, please send monetary donations to St. Andrew’s Church with Migrant Relief in the Memo through Pay Pal or US Mail

PO Box 1287
Edgartown, MA 02539

Anglican Watch staff members have several friends who attend the church, and we encourage readers to support the church’s efforts to care for these guests.
