In August 2021 an adult victim sued The Episcopal Church national corporate entity, the Episcopal Diocese of New York, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Morrisania Church in the Bronx regarding sexual abuse by Episcopal priest Ernest Davies between approximately 1950 and 1959.
Davies was rector at Holy Rood Episcopal Church and St. Paul’s, Morrisania before he transferred to the Anglican Church in Wales in 1963.
