Angie, Gracie, Grant

Positive developments emerge in the Angie Solomon case

A Tennessee court ruled last Monday that Angie Solomon, out on bail following her arrest for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon, can have access to a phone for the purposes of calling her daughter, Gracie.

Gracie is now in her first year of college and has been traumatized, both over allegations that Aaron sexually abused her and due to her mother’s arrest.

Additionally, Gallatin TN law enforcement officials earlier this year claimed to have identified multiple witnesses to the unexplained death of Angie’s son, Grant, who died of head injuries while alone with Aaron.

Anglican Watch has reviewed the statements of these purported witnesses and found them implausible.

Specifically, the witnesses claim that they saw Grant chasing his truck before it rolled into a ditch, bounced, and struck Grant, who they said was “twisted like a pretzel” on the ground following the impact.

This statement is inconsistent with the statements of others at the scene, who reported that Grant was lying on his back under the vehicle. Moreover, they appear to contradict the forensics information from the truck’s black box, which reveals that someone drove the truck to its resting point above Grant, reaching a top speed of approximately 15 MPH. Additionally, information from the black box indicates someone steered the vehicle and applied the brakes in the moments before it came to a stop.

First responders report that, when they arrived, Grant’s truck was in park, making it unlikely that it had accidentally rolled over him.

Witnesses at the hearing tell Anglican Watch that the district attorney appears somewhat more sympathetic to Angie’s plight than officials at prior hearings.

Angie, Gracie, and Grant all have alleged physical, emotional, and psychological abuse by Aaron, including one instance in which he purportedly tried to murder Angie. Anglican Watch has been unable to find evidence that law enforcement personnel have ever taken these allegations seriously or conducted an investigation.

We reiterate our long-standing position that all aspects of this case need to be carefully investigated, including allegations that Aaron attempted to kill his wife and sexually abused Gracie.

Additionally, Anglican Watch reminds readers and local law enforcement that Angie’s alleged actions appear consistent with those of a battered spouse. Thus, investigating all aspects of the case and ensuring a fair judicial process are doubly important if we are to avoid an unjust outcome.

We continue to support Angie, Grant, and Gracie, despite recent reports that Aaron Solomon may be preparing to sue for defamation anyone who advocates on their behalf.
